Actually, yeah it is.   Damn all you stick figure comics that are hilarious, even though you talk about stuff that would make my Grandma mad at me if I were to do them.

Weeeee!  Stick-type characters are easy and fun to draw.  I really need to get started on my superhero project, but I still haven’t decided on a story.  When I do, it will probably replace my random webcomic journal entries here until I get a comic book worth of them. It isn’t going to be a traditional superhero comic, since I don’t have the time or even the skill to pull that off, so it will be a humorous romp through hero-lore with art similar to the third panel above.

Oh, and the comic I’m referring to is Superosity by Chris Crosby.  Man, I wish I had that kind of dedication.

So, true story.  We are going to Free Comic Book Day, which I’ve mentioned over at Fuzznuts, and we didn’t want to show up empty handed.  We had flyers and business cards done professionally, but I wanted to do a little more.  I figured, get some card stock, a stapler, and some new ink, and I could make 30-40 minis.  Wrong.  After using up what was left in my crappy Canon printer and buying a couple new ink cartridges, we ended up with 9 or so minis.   We could have a had a few more but we goofed up the printing scheme.  It turned out to be a challenge and a learning experience.  In which we learned to have someone else print them well ahead of time. So if you get one of these mini’s Saturday… just appreciate the love that went into those little bastards.

And as for the art, I know I’ve been threatening stick figures and such.  I have decided that if I am to continue updating this site, I am going to have to cut corners.  I am going to CUT AND PASTE all that I can, because I am juggling a lot of crap and this stuff takes up a lot of time.  So, feel however you want about that.  I was going to do more abstract figures, but I couldn’t come up with anything I liked.   So this is what you get.  The same art, different dialogue.  This site is an outlet for me, away from Fuzznuts.  I apologize ahead of time if anyone is offended by seeing shitty recycled art. However, I will always be experimenting here, off and on, so nothing will remain static.

Oh, I did finally get to try out Manga Studio today!  That’s where the sweet ass panels came from.

I can’t wait til life slows down a bit and I can draw some more Nonsense.  I think my art gets too stale drawing just the squirrels every week.  Well, no time to talk.  Colin is bitchin’ at me from his exersaucer.

If you aren’t already reading Invincible, you should be.  It’s a great comic.  Actually, anything by Robert Kirkman is great.

As for the comic, I drew, I had this drawn up and no time to do a serious update, since I did TWO Fuzznuts this week.  And one of them was double-sized!

For serious, I think I’m going to have to change to a silly style to have any hope of updating this page.  I’m messing around with the idea of doing Stick Heroes, which would be heroes/villains of our own creation doing really silly…

Wow, just got some bad news in the middle of typing this.

One of my friends my high school apparently shot himself last night.

Fuck.

Anybody who reads this, if you know me in real life (or not, I guess, it doesn’t matter), and need to talk, always feel free to call.  I hate it when something happens to someone I haven’t talked to in a while.  I just… I don’t know what to say.  I’ll miss him.  he was a hell of a guitar player and a good guy.

So if you hadn’t already guessed (0r read the about page)  this strip pretty much centers around me and DJ making Fuzznuts. This particular strip explains why I’m back doing this comic again in the first place.  We wanted an outlet for all of our non- squirrel ideas.  Since Nonsense used to be a lame gamer strip anyway, here we are again.  There shall be video game jokes.  At some point.  So far my major problem is a real lack of time to invest in this strip.  I don’t want the artwork to be too terrible, but if we ever move to more than one strip a week expect a change to a nice crappy journal type squiggle comic.

Sometimes DJ has awesome ideas… I’ll leave it to you to decide whether or not this is one of them.

Sorry to all three people who checked this week that this one is late.  However, if time does not permit, I will make sure update Fuzznuts before I will get to this strip.  I believe it has 10-20 people who follow it =).

I always have quite a few things I want to type up in these blurbs, then when I get the comic done I find that I have forgotten what they were. Oh well.

Hmm.. what did  I do today…  Well I did some commission art (which surprised me that I actually got a request)  and I made a Fuzznuts trucker hat and a new tee.  Go check ‘em out!

Oh, and go check out Scattered Leaves! It’s another Spiderforest Comic, guaranteed to have been worked on harder than mine =).

Mason is the guy talking to me in the first two panels.  He really said that, and DJ’s truck REALLY caught on fire on the way home from work.  And, it was REALLY cold.  That enough uses of the word really for ya?  Just trying to get my point across.  Really.

As for the actual incident, I failed to take any pictures, despite my 7 year old son’s inquiries.  I was too busy pulling my arms inside my hoodie and shivering.  I did manage a Facebook post once I got inside a fireman’s truck, though.

Well, I’m off to draw up this weeks Fuzznuts.  The squirrels are gunning for Punxsutawney Phil.  I hear the “Prognosticator of all Prognosticators”  just announced six more weeks of winter.

It’s true!  As seen here…  some poor guy serving life (okay, we can’t feel too sorry for him, he is a murderer after all) isn’t allowed to play D and D anymore.

Well, no time to blog, I used it all drawing.
